Forster Dental Centre Coronavirus Update

10th March 2020

To our valued patients,

Due to some of the worrying media coverage concerning the Coronavirus, we wanted to reassure and inform you as to the measures we are taking as a dental practice to ensure the continued good health of our patients.

We are continuing to monitor this situation closely and receive guidance from the health authorities and Australian Dental Association, but we have also reinforced our own extensive hygiene measures.

When you enter the practice, you will be asked to wash your hands using the hand gel provided.

We are asking all patients who have had close contact with anyone who has returned, or if they themselves have returned, from overseas within the preceding 14 days of their appointment, to please call the practice so that we may re-arrange a convenient time.

Our staff are applying disinfectant spray and continually wiping down all handrails, door handles, furniture and equipment in the main reception areas. Our hygiene standards in surgery have required no change, as these were always above and beyond what is expected of a dental practice.

We are monitoring all staff holidays and, where appropriate, we will ask them to self-isolate upon their return, so as not to put patients or staff at any risk.

We understand that many elderly patients may feel the risk of attending an appointment is too great at this present time. We will of course be happy to cancel and re-arrange these appointments for a future date.

We hope this email reassures all our valued patients that we are doing all we can to mitigate any risk to you when visiting us here at Forster Dental Centre.

Please do not hesitate to call us should you have any concerns.

Best regards,

Richard, Louise, Harjot, Shirley and the team at

Forster Dental Centre.
